If you work with binary numbers and especially if you do bitwise operations on them by hand you really should consider adopting the base42 symbols. They create a smooth and easy mental transition from base_{2} to base_{16}. Below are the base_{4} symbols and operations tables. Invest a little time in memorizing the tables and you'll be able to work with binary numbers more quickly in your head.
